For as long as we've existed, our monthly cycle has dictated our emotions, our energy, and our health. 

In fact, a woman's menstrual cycle was how the first calendar system was created!  But as we evolved, we slowly began to shift away from the rituals of a woman's cycle, into a more daily practice of productivity and efficiency.  We lost the initiation into woman-hood and have felt the long lasting affects of not feeling connected to our bodies.  This has manifested itself physically as painful periods, irregular cycles, early menopause, hormonal imbalances, PCOS, Endometriosis and so much more.  

But I have seen first-hand, how learning about your menstrual cycle increases your sense of well-being, reduces menstrual issues, and creates a web of empowerment that is life-changing!

4 part online curriculum

Each week, Lydia will guide you through a different phase of your menstrual cycle. 

You'll learn about the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of each part of your inner moon cycle.

Week 1: New Moon

In your first week, you will learn about what the Moon has to do with your monthly cycle and how you can use that knowledge to simplify your life.  You'll discover this first phase of your menstrual cycle and you can take care of yourself through food, movement, and meditation.  You'll receive journaling worksheets, guided meditations, a guest interview and more! 



Week 2: Waxing Moon

In your second module, you'll dive deeper into what it means to be aligned with your monthly cycle. You'll learn how you hormones fluctuate during the different phases of your cycle.  This week you'll take part in a guided video to help you build an altar as a daily reminder of your own energetic field.  Our guest expert will share movement tips you can use before, during and after your period. 


Week 3: Full Moon

In our third week together, we will start to embrace our sensuality during this Full Moon, or Ovulatory phase. You'll discover how your hormones affect your energy level and how nutrition plays a role in your hormonal function.  Our guest expert this week is a coach who will share her juicy tips for having a sensual experience with our bodies, alone and with a partner.  This week is all about our femininity and embracing ourselves, completely.  Our video this week is a Full Moon ceremony.


Week 4: Waning Moon

In the last week of your curriculum, we will tie it all together by learning about this most sensitive and sometimes difficult time of your monthly cycle.  This is where we'll dive into cycle tracking and how you can use it to regulate your cycle, prevent pregnancy, or plan a family. You'll learn about alternatives to hormonal birth control and also how to track your cycle if you don't experience bleeding. You'll discover the final goddess archetype that you embody during this time in your cycle.

FAQs

  • Do I need to have a period or a uterus to take the course?
    • No. "Everyone who is a woman doesn't bleed and not everyone who bleeds is a woman."  This course is for anyone interested in learning more about the history behind the menstrual cycle, the changes a woman experiences, and how to best care for a woman during the different phases of her cycle.  For simplicity, I do use the term "woman" throughout the course.  Many do find that Balanced Babes teaches them how to have better periods and create a connection to their body.
       
  • I am on birth control so my cycle isn't "regular", can I take the course? 
    • Yes! Most women that take the course do so because they EVENTUALLY want to get off of birth control or because they still want to connect to their bodies. The cycle tracking portion of the course addresses how to track your cycle even if you don't ovulate or have regular periods.
       
  • Can I take the course if I have a menstrual issue like endometriosis, PCOS, and imbalanced hormones?
    • Yes. This course will especially be helpful to you in teaching you how it's possible for you to both heal yourself and learn to accept your body, as it is.  Both acceptance and empowerment are KEY STEPS to being balanced and healthy.
       
  • Is there an age limit to who should take Balanced Babes?
    • We have had women ages 17-72 take the course and LOVE IT.  You'll want to use your discernment when taking the course. Since most of our curriculum will be about the menstrual cycle, if you are no longer bleeding, because of age, much of the course MAY seem irrelevant to you.  *you'll see our refund policy upon registration*
