What type of healing can I expect?
To facilitate healing from within, I use a combination of Reiki, Pranayama and Meditation. Reiki is a gentle but powerful healing modality that relieves stress and promotes healing from within. Pranayama is a technique of controlling the breath to promote emotional and physical tension release. Meditation is the practice of calming the mind through silent observation.
Who can benefit from this healing?
This practice of self-nourishment is for anyone on the path of healing. It’s especially good for anyone coping with trauma, grief, anxiety, stress and life changes. It is my goal, as a practitioner, for my clients to feel loved and supported.
What happens in a healing session?
All of my sessions begin with conversation. Whether you are a returning client or brand new, we always start by discussing anything that you feel needs to be brought up. I listen more than I speak and it’s my intention to hold space for you; allowing you to be your own teacher as you release energies both emotionally and verbally. After a conversation, you’ll lie on the massage table, fully clothed, and I place my hands on the energy centers of your body using very light touch in each of the hand positions. Before we begin, I let you know some of the sensitive centers and ask your consent that I either use touch or just energy on those places. Clients are encouraged to relax as much as possible and sometimes even fall asleep! Breath-work (Pranayama) and guided Meditation are incorporated into sessions as we feel necessary.
Although I am trained in Usui Reiki and Yoga, I bring my own energy and work to the table. I use programmable quartz crystals during each session and each client gets a crystal to take home to work with. I use my own life’s journey and what I have learned so far to facilitate as much as healing as is necessary.
